Who We Are
Dough Knead It is a microbakery based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You place orders with us by message, on WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger. This policy explains what data we collect when you interact with us, and how we use it.
What We Collect
When you order by message on WhatsApp or Messenger, we keep:
- Your name — from your WhatsApp or Facebook profile, so we know who the order belongs to
- Your phone number — so we can reach you about your order
- Delivery address — only if you choose delivery, so we know where to send your order
- Order history — what you've ordered and when, so we can track and fulfill your orders
- Payment proof screenshots — images you send to confirm payment
We do not collect passwords, payment card details, or any financial account information. We do not intentionally collect data from anyone under 13 years old.
How We Use Your Data
We use the information above to:
- Process and fulfill your orders
- Send you order confirmations, updates, and delivery notifications in the chat you ordered in
- Respond to your questions or requests
Cookies and Website Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site — which pages get visited, how long people stay, and roughly which country or city visitors are browsing from. This helps us bake and write for the people who actually show up.
We ask before we set anything. The first time you visit, a short note appears asking whether Google Analytics may set its cookie. We remember your answer so you are not asked again, and you can .
If you agree, Google Analytics sets cookies and collects a shortened version of your IP address, your browser and device type, and the pages you view. This is aggregate, statistical information — we use it to see patterns across all visitors, and we cannot use it to identify you personally or link it to your orders.
If you decline, Google Analytics sets no cookies. The only thing kept on your device is your answer, so we don’t ask again. Google still receives an anonymous, cookieless signal that a visit took place, which it uses only to estimate overall visitor numbers. That signal carries no identifier and cannot be traced back to you.
Whatever you choose, our web host, Vercel, keeps a simple count of visits without cookies: the page viewed, the site that linked you here, your rough location (country and city), your device type and browser, and whether you tapped one of our WhatsApp buttons. It stores nothing on your device and does not keep your IP address. A visit is recognised only by a code that is thrown away after 24 hours, so it cannot identify you or follow you from one day to the next.
You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which opts you out across every site you visit. Either way, this site works exactly the same — nothing is gated behind analytics.
We also use Google Search Console, which reports on how our pages appear in Google Search results. It shows us search statistics only and does not place cookies on your device or collect anything about you individually.
Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted services to run our bakery. Your data may be processed by:
- WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger (Meta) — carry our chats with you (Meta Privacy Policy)
- Supabase — our database where we store orders, customer info, and order history (Supabase Privacy Policy)
- Vercel — hosts our website and application, and counts visits without cookies as described above (Vercel Privacy Policy)
- Google Analytics & Search Console — measure website traffic and search performance, as described above (Google Privacy Policy)
We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not share your information with third parties beyond the services listed above.
Data Retention
We keep your order history and contact information for as long as your account is active with us, so we can serve you on future orders. If you'd like us to delete your data, just send us a message and we'll take care of it within 30 days.
Your Rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what data we have about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Delete your data entirely

Changes to This Policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we may notify you through the chat you order in.
